Year Planing for 2014 and ORSA Hunting Night 2013

Senior scouts of 1st Kandy Dharmaraja scout group together with the Group Scout Leader met with former Group Scout Leader and Asst. Chief Commissioner of Scouting Mr. Sarath Matharaarachchi and officials of Old Rajans Scout Association to plan the first of the next century of Dharmaraja Scouting at the Lake View Park International Scout Centre on 29th December.

The meeting was followed by a get-together "Hunting Night".  May of active ORSA members were present at the out door happened to be the last of  events to held in year 2013.

Blessings to Scouts Sitting for G.C.E. (O/L) 2013 and 1st Exco Meeting

A "Bodhi Pooja" and Pirith Chanting session organized by Old Rajans Scout Association held at Asgiri Maha Piriwen Vihara to bless scouts of  1st Kandy Dharmaraja Group who are sitting for the General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level Examination in the month (December 2013).

Scouts who are preparing for exam together with their parents, Assistant Scout Leaders Dilan Rathnayake, Lasitha Nawarathna, members of ORSA were also present at the event.

The event was organized by Vice President od ORSA Mr. Asitha Edirisooriya.

35th Annual General Meeting of Old Rajans Scouts Association

Kandy, November 24, 2013:  The 35^th Annual General Meeting of Old Rajans Scout Association (ORSA) was held on November 23^rd at the Hotel Sussie, Kandy. ORSA member Dr. Usiri Weerasinghe, Faculty member of The Research Institute of Business at Aichi-Gakuin University, Nagoya graced the occasion as the Chief Guest.  

Founders of ORSA former Principal of Dharmaraja College Mr. A.P Gunarathna and former group scout leader Mr. Bandara Weerasekara,  Mr. S. Keerthirathna, The Principal of Dharmaraja College, Hon. Eric Weerawardena (Member of Parliament)  were also present at the event as Guests of Honor.

With the Annual General Meeting, Old Rajans Scout Association (ORSA) celebrated 35 years which also coincide with centenary year of 1^st Kandy Dharmaraja Scout Group. ORSA is the first old scout association in the island which is formed in 1978, has been serving  since its inception to the Dharmaraja College scout group and the scouting in Kandy district.

At the AGM, the ORSA reviewed the most successful year of 35 year old history and appreciated the hard work of its membership on driving the centenary celebration of 1^st Kandy Dharmaraja Scout group with arguably the most successful international scout event in the Sri Lanka Scout history.
